Premises Liability

Premises liability cases arise when a person is injured on the property of another because of a dangerous or unsafe condition caused by the owner or about which the owner was or should have been aware. Although these cases are commonly referred to as slip and fall or trip and fall cases, they can also include injuries or damages suffered because of negligent security, elevator/escalator malfunctions, or exposure to lead based paint. Slip and fall or trip and fall accidents usually result from a substance on a floor in a store or restaurant, unsafe flooring or carpeting, obstructions placed in pathways, or inadequate lighting.
